ARE YOU FIT? DR. MICHAEL MCCAIN
Are You Fit?

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
1 Corinthians 6:19
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Romans 1:1
-THE OUTTER TEMPLE IS A REFLECTION OF THE INNER TEMPLE-
Dr. Michael McCain
If you don’t like what you are beholding in the mirror change the reflection. What’s in the mirror is not the real you, it’s just a frame. The image or reflection that staring back at you is merely a frame, but guess what? You bring shape and form to that frame! What’s going on in your body or moreover should I say what’s going on in your temple is a product of what’s going on in your body or temple. When your emotions are all over the place so will your temple or body. Everything external is an expression of what’s happening on the inside of the individual.
It’s scientifically proven that stress, worry, depression and low self-esteem are all a part of what speeds the process up to becoming ill, sick, or speeds the effect of any current state of sickness. That’s powerful to think that something as simple as controlling ill emotions that sometimes try to rule over us will be one of the key ways that we defeat sickness and disease. Look at the word “disease” and what do you see in it? “dis” “ease” in the tense that it is uncomfortable, non pleasurable, not a good feeling with this in mind our understanding needs to shift in that whatever is creating the discomfort needs to be corrected from the inside. Have you ever thought of that? There are some simple things that we can do to get on the road to feeling better, looking better and there so doing better.
Depression and self-esteem play a major part in the things that cause discomfort in our life. That’s simply because we are more sensual than spiritual. We are lead and controlled by our lust and emotions rather than allowing our spirit man to discern, take thought and process what to do and where to place things, mentally, physically and emotionally. This all comes by a practice of discipline. Jesus knew this best by telling his disciples that these things come out not by prayer and by fasting. Prayer and fasting will help place some of our off balance-ness with our minds, emotions, and physical living.
Can I tell you that your body is also responding to the state of your spiritual life!
If you’re spiritual life is out of order then so is your body. You’re like a city without walls. Your defense is low, moreover should I say you’re immunity is low. The understanding that we need to get is that there will always be things that will come that will try to invade our system. Listen carefully here. The system that I am speaking of is both the divine system that is within our bodies and also the natural bodily system that processes natural living. The divine system is your spirit man, the things that your spirit man are to be taught in that will allow you to take in as well as dispense or release what is unnecessary. Just as our natural bodies expels what’s not needed or vital for survival our spirit man needs to mature to that degree and level also.
We often do a lot of taking in but not enough letting out, which causes bloating, gas, indigestion, and fatigue. Our immune systems were divinely created by God to fight off infection or anything that would appear foreign to the body. That’s what our prayer life was designed to do build us up spiritually to the degree that with prayer and discernment we can expel everything out of our life that’s foreign. Satan’s plan is to use people, circumstances, and occurrences to bring us down, down with discouragement, negativity, bad news and emotional strain.
By design our reaction to the plan of Satan should be to wage war. Spiritual warfare… the only way we can successfully wage war is to be spiritually fit, but naturally fit also. If we don’t have any elasticity both naturally and spiritually how can we wage war on a real enemy.
“for though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and brining into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
Our spiritual weapons are not carnal weapons, meaning they are not weapons of the flesh or weapons as the world would use but are very much as real as natural weapons are inflicting the same impact on the enemy and his cohorts. Before we can pull down strong holds in the atmosphere or atmospheric heaven we must first pull down the strong holds that are within us. Remember that a weapon is only as good as the hands that it is in, so if you’re not fit to the degree that you need be or should be the weapon will not be properly used. It’s more than just dropping an atomic bomb of prayer on the enemy or pulling a trigger and firing in on the target. You must be fit!
Being fit means that both your spirit man and your natural man are as one engaged in the combat of spiritual warfare. Exercise is very important both naturally and spiritually, when army men prepare for boot camp they first must be the perfect bill of health to qualify for army status. Then the other requirement is that they must be physically fit and of a certain weight for their height. Wait…. That’s a word right there… just as every man differs in height, so does our spiritual ranking in the spirit realm. You’re spiritual ranking or height may be inclusive of your ministry title and position or altogether have nothing to do with a title or position. Meaning that you don’t have to have a title to fight! You don’t have to have a title to hold a ranking spiritually. The bible states that unto every man is given a measure of faith. So unto every man is given a measure of fight!
All you need is faith to fight! Your spiritual height is locked up in your faith and the exercise thereof. You have to work your faith like a muscle. A muscle achieves its build and strength over a period of time. In that period of time there are methods used to build its shape and its strength. Same principle applies to our spiritual life; your spiritual life achieves its build through warfare, study and worship.
We sometimes like to say that we would like to live a life of peace and tranquility, with that in mind I will say that it’s not impossible we just have to be spiritually in shape! Working the muscle of prayer, faith and knowledge, the bible admonishes us to pray in all causes and for all things. We are also commanded to not just build a spiritual knowledge of God but to exercise it. Faith is a muscle, work it! The bible states “from the days of John the Baptist till now, the Kingdom suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.” Emphasis Mine-
Like the kingdoms of the ancient ages there is a parallel of revelation to be learned from them. Empires such as the Babylonians, Assyrians, and the Romans we can find that part of their strategy was to gain the territories in which they invaded. The Babylonians and the Assyrians when invading these places would kill everything in sight and the remainder of which they would enslave and use to rebuild their vision within that territory. The one achievement that they Romans did which would be like unto our apostolic commission in the earth was that they invaded territories or colonized territories not changing it but to the degree that they let the people keep their culture and identity. What the Romans were successful in was that they train there overtaken colonies into being trained to speak the language of the kingdom they represented. Hence there was a shift in the minds of the people to conform to laws and authorities that were placed there by the Roman government. That which the Romans did would be considered the closest example of which the kingdom of God should represent by the releasing of fivefold ministry gifts and ambassadors/representatives to train the people in the culture and principles of the kingdom.
With this brief synopsis of the kingdom of God we see that this earth plane in which we are in is always in a constant battle as to who is the ultimate authority over it. Hence, there are spiritual influences which operate through people. Either the kingdom of heaven is in operation through you or the kingdom of hell. Either of the two are both a spiritual kingdom that cannot be seen physically but we know that the reality of their existence by the warfare that we endure. No matter which side of the two you are on theirs a fight. The kingdom of God has delegates and representatives that are sent out to represent the culture of heaven, teaching men the culture of the kingdom. What my prayer is for you is that you would be fit for the task that is ahead of us. Weather we are measured in the height of our office or by the membership into the kingdom of heaven. You must be fit, armed and dangerous to the purpose of God whereby we are called.
